Programs

Junior Support Program

The Equip Junior Support Program aims to equip Junior riders in the Washington, DC cycling community with the means to develop their skills and pursue their passion for cycling. We will work directly with Junior cycling team coaches to identify candidates where our support will be most impactful and ultimately aim to foster a more inclusive and equitable cycling community that supports and uplifts all riders, regardless of their age or level of experience.

Them Bammas Racing

Them Bammas Racing (TBR) and the DC Bike Academy have teamed up to foster the development of underserved youth who have an interest in using bicycles for fitness. Bicycle racing traditionally has been both a fiscally and culturally restrictive sport; and the TBR Youth Division is centered on developing student-athletes, while providing them meaningful and impactful experiences which hopefully they carry forward both on and off of the bike. We provide student-athletes access to bikes, equipment, training, coaching, socio-emotional support, and other tools and/services requisite for their progression through the sport. Our coaches consist of people from the local bicycle community who in turn expose the youth to various disciplines across the sport, including BMX, CX, MTB, road, track, and even bike polo
